Look for a Distinct Typeface

Add Character
When you have a three-letter monogram, you have enough space to play and add character to it. For instance, the monogram for Roger Federer contains letters R and F. However, the design uses negative space, and our brain automatically imagines the missing piece and creates full letters.
Similarly, the single-letter monogram of McDonald’s has a lot of character with its classic arches reminiscent of the world-famous McDonald’s fries.

Choose the Color
Please note that less is always more in logo design. Therefore, limiting your monogram to one to two colors is ideal. Black is a standard color for fashion labels because it’s classic, bold, and versatile. Pairing it with white makes it easy to play with inverse colors.
